Disney Loosing special tax status

As of this morning 4/22/22 @ 7:00 Disney is only one pen stroke away from losing its special tax / self-governing status in Florida. Disney has become so woke over the past few years more so than they were in the 90’s, they have gone so far as to think that they have the power to change state laws.

Well don’t push a state full of parent’s and lawmakers that have children and grandchildren in school. Parents don’t want their children being sexualized in school and rightfully so. Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill (HB) 1557, Parental Rights in Education, which reinforces parents’ fundamental rights to make decisions regarding the upbringing of their children. The bill prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through 3^rd grade and prohibits instruction that is not age appropriate for students and requires school districts to adopt procedures for notifying parents if there is a change in services from the school regarding a child’s mental, emotional or physical health or well-being. The bill builds on the Parents’ Bill of Rights, which was signed into law in Florida last year, and is part of Governor DeSantis’ Year of the Parent focus on protecting parental rights in education.

Disney Played politics with helping to push a false narrative of a don’t day gay bill and will pay for it when they should have stuck to what they are there to do, be a Disney Theam Park. I like what one of the elected officials representing the Orange County area that Disney sits on, It is unfair to other similar industries in the area and state. Such as Sea World and Universal. It is time for Disney to be treated equal instead of special.
